Yesterday, my mom took Kai and me to lunch at a place near our house. While we were there Kai was eating two of his current loved foods: edamame beans and egg rolls. My mom remembered how to make kid friendly chopsticks with the wrapper and a rubber band from our Nakashima of Japan days and Kai mastered them immediately. He started picking up edamame beans and putting them in his own mouth and was then feeding them to me too. It was pretty darn impressive. I am sure that even those not blinded by motherly pride would agree.
