I think that Kai may have an imaginary friend. Named Campbell. She came on the scene last night, was afraid of Woody (I think Kai's Woody doll?) and needed Kai to turn on the light and watch Toy Story for about 5 minutes. Then, this afternoon, Campbell was back and afraid of the dark in Kai's room. I asked if Campbell was in the room and Kai told me yes, she was in the closet. I asked him more about Campbell and he told me that she is big like a table and is a giraffe. It will be interesting to see if Campbell sticks around.
